2001 & 2003 Winner Coastal Bend Photo Contest! Visit: www.wildlifephotocontest.com

This Spring, April 30-May 3, Sean Fitzgerald will be offering a 4-day photography seminar.  This is an opportunity for you to work closely and share tips with one of Texas’ premiere wildlife photographers.  A limit of eight people will allow Sean to keep it a very personalized experience and offer better opportunities in the field.  Some of the highlights planned include: Critique of existing work, classroom presentations (on artistry, photo technique, and how to shoot digitally), and in-the-field shooting.  You will learn to process your images in Adobe Camera Raw, edit them in Photoshop, and learn to manage and archive your digital images.

Attendees will be using the ranch’s custom, in-ground blinds which offer a unique eye-level experience with wildlife.  These blinds are located in several very different areas, so you should manage to take an assortment of photos.  The blinds are completely enclosed and provide ease and comfort for the photographer.

Cost is $675.  Included in the price are a simple lunch and snacks and refreshments every day.  Seminar attendees will also receive a certificate for 1 free day of shooting on the Fennessey Ranch ($100 value) and one free 12 x 18 print taken and printed during the seminar.  A complete itinerary and recommendations for accommodations will be supplied with confirmation.

Many of Sean Fitzgerald’s wining photographs are featured on our web site.

~Photography Safari~

- April 11, 2009 -

Today's affordable, high-quality digital cameras allow anyone to take amazing photos.  With that thought in mind, we are offering the opportunity to spend a day exploring the unique wildlife habitat that the Fennessey Ranch has to offer.  Work on your macro skills with the abundance of spring wildflowers and colorful insects.  Take advantage of the lush spring growth for fantastic landscapes.  Aboard the Pinzgauers, we'll head off to the most remote parts of the ranch.  Stops will be made to take advantage of photo ops.  Our plentiful armadillos, with the vision of Mr. Magoo, are good subjects to practice on.  They will stand on their hind legs, squinting and scenting, ascertaining whether the perceived danger is sufficient to send them bouncing home to their burrows.

~Photo Blind Day Rentals~

We have built three permanent photo blinds to capture eye-level shots of birds and animals in their natural environment.  These strategically-placed blinds offer the prospect of getting that once-in-a-lifetime shot.  All blinds are dry, comfortable and camouflaged.  These blinds were designed by Sean Fitzgerald to meet his needs during the photo contests.  The $100 per day fee allows the use of all blinds.  So pack your equipment and lunch and start snapping.  Reservations required.

Look at what one of our visitors has to say...

"Went to the Fennessey today and took some shots of various critters....the Artesian Blind was very active so I was able to get images of a variety of birdies and critters doing what they do best....EAT" .....Sylvia

Here are some great shots taken from  our photo blinds!
